Senior Information Systems Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Provide ISSO support for agency systems throughout their lifecycle
• Perform daily, weekly, and continuous systems monitoring in alignment with NIST RMF
• Develop and maintain SA&A artifacts including SSPs, PTAs, PCLIAs, and Contingency Plans
• Maintain and update Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M) reports monthly
• Coordinate with System Owners to evaluate security impacts of system changes
• Analyze reports from security tools including Splunk, Elastic, CrowdStrike, and Qualys
• Lead the gathering of audit artifacts for OIG and GAO requests
• Support the transition from time-based ATOs to Ongoing Authorization

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline
• Active Secret security clearance
• CISSP, CASP+, or GDSA Level III certification
• 7 to 10 years of experience as an ISSO or Manager in a federal environment
• Hands-on understanding of NIST RMF, NIST SP 800-53, and FISMA
• Experience with GRC platforms, preferably Xacta 360
• Understanding of cloud security architecture (AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud)
