Senior Information Systems Administrator

Responsibilities

• Maintain current systems and adhere to policies and procedures to ensure security and integrity on Army Classified networks
• Support the Risk Management Framework (RMF) in a classified environment
• Identify and implement security requirements for proper data handling
• Provide guidance for information assurance (IA) functions, including infrastructure protection and defensive strategy
• Contribute to security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and continuous monitoring of Windows and Linux servers, workstations, and virtual machines

Requirements

• BA/BS in Computer Science, CIS, MIS, or related field with 6-8 years experience (or equivalent advanced degree with less experience)
• Working knowledge of system security design, RMF/ICD 503, and IA principles
• Experience in networking design, architecture, and management
• Working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems
• Ability to obtain GSLC, CAP, or Security+ certification within 6 months
• Experience with VMware virtualization and snapshot-based backup solutions
• Familiarity with Cisco switches and firewalls
• Experience with Windows Servers (GPO, Domain Controllers, DNS, DHCP)
• Familiarity with ACAS Suite, Nessus, and SCAP tools for STIG hardening
• Experience with RMF and eMASS to address POA&Ms
• Knowledge of cabling (fiber optic) in rack environments
• Top Secret Clearance required or must be able to obtain

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in administration of cloud-based systems and accreditation
• Experience with space-based data systems and missions
• CISSP certification
