Senior Information System Security Officer (ISSO)

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor system compliance, auditing, and security plan development
• Deliver information systems security education and awareness
• Investigate information system security violations and prepare corrective/preventative action reports
• Review and approve configuration management requests within authorized scope
• Conduct technical and administrative assessments
• Integrate new cybersecurity processes, procedures, and tools
• Support the creation, review, and update of cybersecurity documentation and technical writing

Requirements

• University Degree or equivalent experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience (or 3 years with an Advanced Degree)
• Current IAM Level I certification (e.g., Security+)
• Active Secret security clearance required on day 1
• U.S. citizenship is required
• Experience in cybersecurity, systems security, or compliance-based auditing (RMF, DAAPM, JSIG, or NISPOM)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in DoD classified operating or laboratory environments
• Proficiency with security tools such as Splunk, Forcepoint, Ivanti, Tenable, ACAS, or HBSS
• Experience executing Assessment & Authorization processes within the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
• Familiarity with implementing DISA STIGs
• Experience providing technical security consultation for complex, cross-domain networked environments
• Knowledge of cyber incident response, including preservation, containment, and eradication
