Senior Information Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage and support enterprise security operations technologies to detect, investigate, and respond to threats
• Monitor, triage, and respond to security alerts, incidents, identity risks, and endpoint threats
• Support vulnerability and patch management activities, including risk assessment and remediation tracking
• Administer privileged access management (PAM) solutions and support identity protection
• Participate in incident response activities including investigation, containment, and post-incident analysis
• Secure enterprise infrastructure environments including cloud, endpoint, identity, and directory services
• Manage network security controls such as firewalls, VPN technologies, and network segmentation
• Support cybersecurity compliance initiatives through technical control implementation and audit preparation
• Lead infrastructure and security projects from requirements gathering through implementation

Requirements

• 8+ years of IT experience with at least 4 years focused on cybersecurity or security operations
• Hands-on SIEM operations experience (Sumo Logic preferred)
• Hands-on EDR operations experience (CrowdStrike Falcon preferred)
• Working knowledge of NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC Level 2
• Strong experience with Microsoft enterprise technologies (Active Directory, Entra ID, Azure, M365, Intune)
• Experience with firewall administration, VPN, and network segmentation
• Experience with Privileged Access Management (PAM) administration
• Scripting experience using PowerShell, Python, or similar tools
• Professional cybersecurity certification (Security+, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent)
• Strong technical documentation and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Defense Industrial Base (DIB) or federal contractors
• Experience with CMMC or NIST SP 800-171 compliance initiatives
• Advanced certifications such as CCSP, CISA, CCP, or FedRAMP
• Fortinet firewall administration experience
• Experience with mergers and acquisitions integrations
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or a related field
