Senior Information Security Engineer Analyst - SOC Analyst

Responsibilities

• Monitor security events and alerts from SIEM, EDR, and other security tools to identify suspicious activity
• Perform initial triage of alerts to determine severity and validity, identifying false positives and escalating confirmed incidents
• Validate potential security incidents using logs from endpoint security tools, network devices, and authentication systems
• Identify indicators of compromise (IOCs) and assist in mapping alerts to attack patterns using frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK
• Document investigation steps, findings, and escalation details clearly within ticketing and case management systems
• Support Incident Response teams during active security incidents with containment actions and post-mortem analysis
• Operate and maintain security platforms including SIEM (Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel) and EDR tools
• Contribute to continuous improvement by refining playbooks, alerting logic, and SOC workflows

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• 1+ years of experience in IT, cybersecurity, or SOC environments
• Foundational understanding of cybersecurity concepts such as malware, phishing, and network security
• Familiarity with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, Crowdstrike)
• Exposure to endpoint security tools (e.g., Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 monitoring environment
