Senior Industrialization Engineer

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Industrialization representative on NPI and Continuation Engineering project teams
• Collaborate with design teams to ensure PCBA designs meet manufacturability and compliance standards
• Define and document PCBA manufacturing strategies, process flows, and specifications
• Lead equipment and process validation, qualification, and PFMEA activities
• Conduct Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) reviews
• Create Documented Work Instructions (DWIs) and training materials for production teams
• Support cost reduction and process improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma tools
• Coordinate prototype and pilot build activities and collaborate with EMS partners

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience in PCBA or electronic assembly manufacturing
• At least 3 years of experience in industrialization or NPI roles
• Strong understanding of SMT, reflow, wave soldering, and conformal coating
• Familiarity with IPC standards (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001), DFM/DFA principles, and GD&T
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP
• Ability to travel approximately 10%–15%

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working directly with EMS providers
• Green Belt certification in Six Sigma
• Proficiency with CAD or PCB viewer tools
