Senior Industrial Hygiene & Safety Professional

Responsibilities

• Provide field support for routine monitoring and collaborate with professionals to ensure effective program implementation
• Provide technical guidance to CH-TRU operations on environmental remediation problems
• Conduct site investigations to determine contamination extent and define cleanup alternatives
• Oversee IH processes to ensure compliance with technical and regulatory requirements
• Apply the hierarchy of controls to eliminate or mitigate hazards
• Monitor and review subcontractor performance regarding work planning, execution, and inspections

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and 14+ years of relevant experience
• U.S. Citizenship required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
• Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification
• Expert knowledge of DOE and regulatory requirements in a research environment
• Expertise in industrial hygiene exposure assessment, sampling, and instrumentation
• Experience implementing risk assessments and corrective actions
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for technical and non-technical personnel
