About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop innovative solutions for new products and processes, contributing to strategic roadmaps for factory capacity and infrastructure.
- Analyze manufacturing system performance using Industrial Engineering tools to identify improvement opportunities.
- Determine equipment, facilities, and support requirements for new products and processes.
- Provide detailed factory and line layouts using AutoCAD, supporting the planning and implementation of new areas.
- Optimize assembly lines through workflow analysis, time and motion studies, ergonomics, and human factors analysis.
- Utilize simulation tools, value stream mapping, PFMEA, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma principles to analyze requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering and design groups to ensure product producibility and effective transition to manufacture.
- Provide labor estimating for electronic, cable, or mechanical assemblies.
Requirements
- Degree in engineering science (e.g., Industrial, Electronics, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Systems Engineering) or equivalent relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or simulation modeling tools.
- Strong mathematical and statistical analysis skills, including SPC, modeling, and queuing theory.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Ability to represent the company to both internal and external customers.
- Strong understanding of cost drivers in project setup, development, and manufacturing processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Significant Industrial Engineering experience with extensive knowledge of industry tools and methods.
- Experience in developing, planning, costing, and implementing new processes or facility expansions.
- Knowledge of SMT, units, and box build, including supply chain and material handling requirements.
- Ability to mentor or lead other engineers and projects.
- Experience with simulation tools such as Witness or similar software.
