Senior In-House SAP Authorization Consultant

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end authorization concepts for SAP ECC, GTS e4H, and S/4HANA landscapes.
• Build and manage roles using best-practice methodologies, including business, derived, and composite roles.
• Design and maintain Fiori role concepts, including catalogs, groups, spaces, pages, and app authorization mapping.
• Implement and operate HANA access and security controls in alignment with enterprise policies.
• Provide 2nd and 3rd level authorization troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for business users and IT.
• Drive Segregation of Duties (SoD) and access risk mitigation in collaboration with compliance and process owners.
• Support internal and external audits by providing role documentation, access evidence, and remediation plans.
• Collaborate with functional streams (FICO, PTP, OTC, PLM) and SAP Technology teams to translate business requirements into secure access designs.
• Contribute to migration, rollout, and transformation initiatives, including S/4HANA rollouts and security redesigns.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Applied Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8+ years of professional experience in SAP Authorization.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with S/4HANA, Fiori, and SAP HANA security.
• Proven experience working on international projects and within distributed teams.
• Experience coordinating with external partners and managing stakeholder expectations.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on pragmatic, improvement-oriented solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) security.
• Experience in the planning and execution of large-scale migration and rollout projects.
