Senior In-House Repair Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform complex repair, rework, and full overhaul/restore on parts, sub-systems, and full robots
• Deliver approved upgrades to existing robots and parts
• Lead physical troubleshooting and forensic analysis to determine root cause and support warranty decisions
• Act as a flying doctor at customer sites for difficult on-site interventions
• Partner with engineering and training teams to author clear work instructions
• Mentor Associate and Advanced technicians
• Own refurbishment throughput and quality for complex part families

Requirements

• Mechanical/electrical technician training
• 5+ years of hands-on repair experience with deep specialization
• Proven ability to overhaul complex electromechanical systems
• Strong forensic troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
• Ability to author work instructions and mentor others
• Rigorous quality, certification, 5S, and health-and-safety discipline
• Willingness to travel for on-site interventions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with humanoid, legged, or advanced robotics hardware
• Familiarity with calibration, metrology, and precision mechatronics testing
• Exposure to failure-analysis methods and supplier-quality processes
• Experience setting up or scaling a repair or refurbishment operation
