Senior II Security Engineer - Platform

Responsibilities

• Own platform security across AWS, Kubernetes, and GCP with a focus on detection, alerting, and incident response
• Lead key platform security initiatives end-to-end from definition to rollout
• Evolve monitoring and SIEM capabilities to create effective, actionable detection and response
• Strengthen cloud and platform security through practical guardrails, secure patterns, and automation
• Improve Kubernetes security, including cluster/workload security and policy enforcement
• Mature detection capabilities by building and tuning actionable detections and reducing noise
• Establish repeatable triage workflows, investigation playbooks, and runbooks
• Partner with SRE, Data, Engineering, and GRC teams on cross-functional security initiatives
• Improve secrets management and reduce exposure risk across CI/CD and runtime

Requirements

• Strong experience securing cloud and platform environments (AWS and Kubernetes preferred, GCP a plus)
• Hands-on experience delivering technical security initiatives in production
• Understanding of SDLC, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code
• Experience with identity and access security and Okta event monitoring
• Experience maturing security operations and SIEM-based detection
• Strong collaboration and influence skills across technical and GRC functions
• Minimum C1 English level
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code at scale
• Jenkins hardening and CI/CD supply chain security
• Cloudflare security controls (WAF, bot mitigation)
• Scripting or programming for automation
• Incident response experience in cloud-native environments
