Senior Hydrometallurgist

Responsibilities

• Coordinate technical competence, work scheduling, and research programs for laboratory and pilot plant operations
• Manage client relationships, communications, and project requirements
• Prepare technical and financial proposals and manage project budgets and billing
• Implement project management methodologies for pilot plant campaigns
• Oversee machinery and equipment setup for laboratory and pilot plant circuits
• Conduct risk assessments, technical protocols, and sample planning
• Train and supervise technical staff on job duties, safety procedures, and company policies
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mineral Processing, Hydrometallurgy, Mining Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related science
• 8-10 years of experience in a minerals-related field
• Expertise in mineral processing, hydrometallurgy, or gold extraction
• Experience with flowsheet development, bench scale testwork, and pilot plant programs
• Strong project management and leadership skills
• Ability to write complex technical reports
• Proficiency in business software including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a consulting function or plant operation
• Experience managing financial and budget responsibilities
