Senior Hydrogeology Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage project delivery, ensuring compliance with scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
• Lead coordination meetings with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical oversight and quality assurance.
• Lead hydrogeological groundwater assessments and interpret aquifer parameter data.
• Develop, calibrate, and review 3D groundwater flow and solute transport models.
• Design and review construction dewatering systems and long-term groundwater control solutions.
• Prepare design calculations, drawings, BOQs, specifications, and tender documentation.
• Conduct hydrogeological assessments for mining projects, including ore body dewatering and TSF subsurface water management.

Requirements

• 6 to 10+ years of experience in hydrogeological engineering, groundwater modelling, and dewatering design.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Hydrogeology, Civil Engineering (Water Resources), or a related field.
• Proficiency in groundwater modelling software such as MODFLOW, MT3DMS, GMS, or FEFLOW.
• Experience with GIS tools (ArcGIS, QGIS) and programming for data analysis (Python/FloPy).
• Strong leadership, project management, and client-facing experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in mining hydrogeology, including open-pit and underground operations.
• Expertise in long-term mine water management, recharge, and discharge strategies.
