Senior Human Resources Generalist

Responsibilities

• Support the development, delivery, and alignment of HR programs including benefits, wellbeing, payroll, and talent initiatives.
• Lead assigned HR projects and coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure departmental and University goals are met.
• Serve as a key resource for HR systems, supporting users, troubleshooting issues, and assisting with HCM system assessments or transitions.
• Ensure data integrity and consistency across HR systems through regular audits and adherence to data governance standards.
• Collaborate with Centers of Excellence to develop and maintain HR metrics, dashboards, and reporting capabilities.
• Act as a trusted advisor to employees and management, providing guidance on complex and confidential matters.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of progressive experience in an HR generalist or similar role.
• Demonstrated experience working across multiple HR functional areas or in a matrixed HR environment.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in higher education or similarly complex organizations.
• Experience supporting or partnering with HR Centers of Excellence.
• Experience with HRIS/HCM systems such as Paycom, UKG, or similar platforms.
• Professional HR certification and/or an advanced degree.
