About the role
Responsibilities
- Proactively assess risks to workers and develop actionable recommendations to reduce risk
- Develop and implement HSE processes, procedures, work instructions, and checklists
- Monitor compliance with federal and state regulations, company policies, and procedures
- Monitor and report on key HSE objectives and metrics for management
- Facilitate incident investigations and lead root cause analysis efforts
- Plan and assist with compliance audits and self-assessments
- Serve as a liaison with external agencies regarding HSE issues
- Coordinate and participate in HSE training and culture development
- Maintain and update relevant HSE documentation at worksites
Requirements
- 5-7+ years of relevant industry experience
- Proven technical knowledge of Federal and State HSE rules and regulations
- Direct experience with hands-on implementation of HSE policies and procedures
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Google Suite
- Ability to legally work and reside in the US without sponsorship
- Ability to pass a background check and participate in drug and alcohol programs
Preferred Qualifications
- Manufacturing industry experience
- University degree
- Professional certifications such as CSP, ASP, or OHST
- Experience in an ISO-certified manufacturing environment
- Experience with electrical safety standards (e.g., NFPA 70E) or heavy industrial operations
