About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic and tactical HR support by partnering with business unit leaders and managing labor relations in a complex, multi-location environment.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all HR disciplines, providing expert advice and customer service to executives.
- Coach managers through the entire employee journey and provide specialized guidance on disciplinary leadership.
- Serve as a key liaison with labor unions, supporting contract interpretation, grievance resolution, and negotiation preparation.
- Manage cyclical personnel processes including development talks, pay planning, and reclassification.
- Ensure the operational implementation of HR strategies into tangible results and consistent leadership standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent professional work experience (HR Management preferred).
- 5 years of progressively responsible HR experience, specifically in Associate Relations and HR Management.
- 2–3 years of experience in internal talent acquisition support.
- 1–2 years of experience in Compensation and Benefits.
- Proven project management experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
- Experience with SAP HR and SAP SuccessFactors or an equivalent Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Federal, State, and local employment regulations, with a focus on California.
- 3 years of recent experience supporting labor relations in a union environment.
- Direct or indirect leadership experience of team members.
- Experience leading vendor selection processes, including RFP and RFQ.
