Senior HR Advisor

Responsibilities

• Lead on complex case management including disciplinary, grievance, performance, and capability issues
• Provide expert guidance on absence management, OH referrals, and return-to-work processes
• Coordinate and oversee recruitment activities including campaign planning, screening, and onboarding
• Contribute to departmental and cross-functional HR improvement projects
• Support disciplinary hearings and assist senior management in decision-making
• Manage HR processes such as probation reviews and exit interviews
• Represent HR in strategic meetings with senior managers
• Review and update job descriptions and organisational structures
• Provide strategic advice on recruitment, selection, and retention
• Monitor and analyse HR metrics like turnover and engagement
• Lead updates to HR policies to ensure legislative compliance
• Champion employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives

Requirements

• CIPD Level 5 qualification or working towards it
• Proven experience in an HR advisory role
• Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills and discretion
• Experience managing complex employee relations
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite
