Senior Housekeeping Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead daily housekeeping operations, including Reception and Lost & Found, to ensure a seamless guest arrival experience.
• Manage a team of hourly Housekeeping Cast Members, focusing on safety, courtesy, efficiency, and professional coaching.
• Spend up to 80% of the day in the operating area working directly with Guests and Cast Members.
• Monitor daily staffing levels and forecast labor coverage needs based on business demand.
• Partner with the Front Office team to ensure the timely delivery of clean and ready rooms.
• Make daily operational decisions to benefit Guests, Cast Members, and the business.
• Support training initiatives and ensure all Cast Members maintain required proficiencies and certifications.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of Front Desk or Housekeeping leadership/managerial experience.
• Proven experience leading multicultural teams and a passion for developing others.
• Understanding of financial operational aspects, including operating budgets, revenue, labor, and inventory.
• Proficiency in Windows environments and the ability to adapt to new technologies.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, variable shifts, and holidays.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to lead with empathy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with Opera Property Management System or similar systems.
• Experience with HotSOS or similar service optimization software.
• Knowledge of housekeeping chemicals, materials, cleaning techniques, and equipment.
• Experience working in a Forbes-rated hotel or equivalent luxury environment.
• Multilingual skills.
• Prior leadership experience in a unionized environment.
• Bachelor's degree in hospitality or a related field.
