About the role
Responsibilities
- Direct research and experiments to identify land use problems and suitable plant varieties
- Develop techniques for nursery operations, planting, spraying, cultivating, harvesting, and transporting products
- Manage pest and weed control strategies
- Provide guidance on planning community projects and quality landscaping designs
- Develop training programs for staff on latest agricultural technologies and methodologies
- Analyze soil characteristics and develop improved measurement and conservation methods
- Design work programs for Gardening, Landscaping, and Nursery personnel
- Coordinate and implement Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs across all landscaped areas
- Conduct surveys and sample collection for plant pest studies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or equivalent
- 10 years of experience in gardening, landscaping, or agriculture
- At least 8 years of specialized experience in horticulture, gardening, or plantations
