About the role

Responsibilities

  • Drive University-wide HPC services that enable advanced research and teaching
  • Serve as a technical authority to shape strategy and partnerships
  • Provide guidance to University users on pathways to achieve HPC outcomes
  • Contribute to the development of service offerings using a blended model of University-owned, externally hosted, and cloud-based platforms
  • Lead the maintenance, monitoring, and continuous improvement of HPC systems to ensure reliability

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualification with extensive computing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Substantial experience in compiling and troubleshooting applications, dependencies, and libraries in mixed platform HPC environments
  • Familiarity with compiler toolsets such as Autotools and CMake
  • Proficiency in programming and scripting languages, specifically C++, Python, Fortran, and Bash
  • Demonstrated experience implementing, repairing, and maintaining HPC or Linux solutions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
