Senior Healthcare Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day on-site supervision of healthcare construction projects including hospitals, clinics, and specialized medical facilities
• Ensure compliance with healthcare-specific regulatory requirements and standards, including infection control risk assessments and protocols
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to maintain project schedules and deliverables
• Implement and enforce strict safety protocols tailored to healthcare settings to protect patients, staff, and workers
• Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and hospital staff to address project challenges
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to ensure construction meets all applicable codes and plans
• Manage documentation including daily reports, change orders, RFIs, and safety records
• Anticipate potential project risks and proactively develop solutions to mitigate impact on schedule and budget
• Serve as the primary on-site representative for stakeholders

Requirements

• 10 years experience as a Superintendent
• Minimum of 5 years of superintendent experience in healthcare construction or related fields
• Thorough knowledge of healthcare construction regulations, infection control, and safety standards
• Proven ability to manage multi-trade commercial or institutional construction projects
• Ability to develop and maintain clear project schedules using Microsoft Project
• Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, BIM, and Microsoft Project
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with hospital personnel and regulatory agencies
