Senior Health & Safety Construction Manager

Responsibilities

• Provide input to Contracting and Procurement Strategy to embed safety requirements
• Draft and review contract clauses related to safety, risk management, and emergency response
• Establish safety-related prequalification criteria for contractors
• Evaluate contractor EHS systems, incident history, and safety performance
• Participate in bid evaluations and post-project reviews
• Collaborate with procurement to structure safety-incentivized contracts
• Support constructability reviews and ensure design aligns with safety considerations
• Identify and address potential construction issues early in the project lifecycle
• Contribute to the Project Execution Plan and construction execution strategy
• Monitor contractor compliance with EHS requirements through regular meetings and audits
• Implement site-specific safety rules and contractor safety oversight plans

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Construction EHS Management
• Extensive knowledge of construction safety standards and regulatory requirements
• Specific expertise in management of demolition activities
• Strong understanding of contract management and procurement processes
• Proven track record managing safety for large-scale construction projects
• Experience evaluating contractor safety performance and EHS systems
• Competency in conducting audits, inspections, and incident investigations
• Experience developing and implementing safety incentive programs
