Senior Health Economics Modelling Consultant

Responsibilities

• Oversee the development of complex health economic models to express the economic value of clients' products
• Lead medium-scale modelling projects and provide technical guidance to junior team members
• Conduct systematic searches for health economic models in scientific literature and HTA body publications
• Build and refine cost-effectiveness models (CEMs) and budget impact models (BIMs)
• Write, review, and critique technical reports, journal manuscripts, and other client deliverables
• Support business development through project scoping, proposal preparation, and bid defense meetings
• Act as a primary point of contact for clients, managing relationships and discussing methodological decisions

Requirements

• Master's degree in a life science or quantitative discipline (e.g., Health Economics, Mathematics, Statistics)
• 8+ years of experience in health economics, ideally within a consultancy environment
• Proven experience managing modelling projects and leading/coaching project teams
• Deep expertise in health economic modelling using Excel and VBA
• Proficiency in programming languages such as R or SAS
• Strong understanding of HTA-relevant guidelines, techniques, and methodologies
• Fluent English with high written accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with generative AI tools for health economics modelling
• Additional European languages
• Experience in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry
