Senior Hardware Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Spearhead the development, installation, and upgrading of new test programs and fixtures for new product introduction.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with regional test teams and contract manufacturer partners to ensure production readiness.
• Lead advanced failure analysis and debugging for complex assembly and manufacturing test systems, including wireless and communication protocols.
• Analyze test data and production trends to identify continuous improvement opportunities to maximize testing yields.
• Maintain test database systems and software at the manufacturing site to ensure smooth daily operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Test, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven hands-on experience building, debugging, and commissioning functional test systems within an electronic manufacturing environment.
• Strong proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers for root cause analysis.
• Working knowledge of quality methods, including process capability and statistical process control (SPC).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with global cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working directly with sub-contract manufacturing or contract manufacturers.
• Solid understanding of surface mount technology (SMT) processes, wireless electronics, and GPS technology.
• Familiarity with test software systems, scripting languages, and database script management.
• Knowledge of mechanical design and CAD systems.
