About the Company
Humanoid is on a mission to build the world’s most capable, commercially-scalable, and safe humanoid robots. Their flagship platform, HMND‑01 Alpha, is already running in real industrial pilots.
Responsibilities
- Define functional, performance, and stress tests for hardware components including actuators, sensors, and electronics
- Design integration tests for robot subsystems covering kinematic accuracy, repeatability, and thermal response
- Execute system-level tests for full robot assemblies, including motion sequences and balance
- Perform prototype bring-up and failure analysis to root-cause issues
- Translate manual test methods into specifications for the test automation team
- Provide technical requirements for production test jigs, fixtures, and in-process verification
- Partner with Supply Chain and Production Ops to define component performance characteristics and quality feedback loops
Requirements
- 5+ years in hardware test engineering with complex electromechanical systems (robotics, automotive, or aerospace)
- Strong grasp of test theory, design, and pass/fail criteria definition
- Solid understanding of mechanical design, core components, and GD&T
- Proficiency with electrical tools including multimeters and oscilloscopes
- Familiarity with hardware production operations and work instructions
- Experience with test and task tracking systems like Jira or TestRail
- Systems thinking mindset to connect component-level issues to full-robot behavior
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with serial-link manipulators or legged robotics systems
- Hands-on test rig and fixture design experience
- Python for data analysis and lightweight automation
- CAD experience (SolidWorks, Fusion, or NX)
- Familiarity with ROS2
- Experience with embedded systems and field buses (CAN, EtherCAT)
- Experience with industrial automation equipment (servos, PLCs)
