About the role
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end program schedule for engineering improvements, including comprehensive plans for materials and validation.
- Work with stakeholders in product management, quality, reliability, and supply chain to define program strategy and requirements.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks to ensure deliverables are met on time and within budget.
- Act as a single-threaded owner across product, engineering, supply chain, and software to manage high-level and detailed product planning.
- Develop and implement new processes to improve team efficiency as the business scales.
- Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to coordinate component sourcing, vendor management, and logistics.
- Present program status, metrics, and operational risks to senior leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related scientific/engineering discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in technical program management, specifically focusing on hardware, embedded software, and product planning.
- Strong understanding of hardware design processes, product lifecycle management (PLM), and manufacturing workflows.
- Deep understanding of the intersection between hardware and software and how hardware changes impact software workflows.
- Proven ability to manage project priorities across diverse hardware, software, and operations disciplines.
- Experience working effectively with highly technical cross-functional engineering teams.
- Proficiency with project management software such as MS Project or Smartsheet.
- Strong business acumen with experience in cost management and analysis.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
