Senior Hardware Engineer

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the architecture, design, and validation of advanced optical transceiver modules (e.g., QSFP-DD, OSFP) supporting 800G and higher data rates.
• Lead the integration and bring-up of new optical transceiver designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including optics, mechanical, firmware, and system integration, to ensure industry standard compliance.
• Define and drive transceiver-level characterization and validation processes.
• Act as a technical mentor and thought leader within the engineering organization.
• Partner with customers and internal stakeholders to translate requirements into technical leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field (Master’s or PhD preferred).
• 10+ years of hands-on hardware design experience.
• 5+ years of specialized experience focused on coherent and/or PAM4 optical transceivers.
• Proficiency in lab testing and characterization using OSA, BERT, OMA, eye diagram analysis, and power meters.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as IEEE and OIF.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to automate measurements using C# or Python.
