About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, analysis, and troubleshooting of complex digital hardware and circuit boards for surgical capital equipment.
- Drive board design projects through completion, including verification and integration.
- Conduct hardware research, development, and testing of electrical components and systems.
- Develop technical specifications and ensure hardware reliability and performance meets regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners in systems engineering, manufacturing, regulatory, and marketing.
- Provide hands-on lab support for prototypes, troubleshooting, and production hardware.
- Manage component libraries, including building schematic symbols, PCB footprints, and maintaining ECAD tool integrity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical-Computer Engineering.
- 4 years of related work experience OR a Master’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with digital hardware design and multi-board architectures.
- Proficiency with PCB design tools such as Cadence OrCAD, Allegro, or Altium.
- Experience working in regulated product development environments (e.g., medical device, aerospace, or automotive).
- Experience with ECAD library management and component data integrity.
- Strong troubleshooting skills within a laboratory environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse engineering disciplines.
