About the role
Responsibilities
- Engineer, design, develop, and test new embedded hardware at the forefront of technology
- Support and enhance existing embedded hardware products
- Analyze requirements, research solutions, and develop comprehensive designs
- Generate accurate user and design documentation
- Provide input to architecture and design reviews
- Contribute to the release of manufacturing technical data packages
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and stay current with embedded hardware trends
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Computer, or Mechatronics Engineering
- 8+ years of board-level development experience (CO-OP experience is applicable)
- Hands-on lab experience with hardware test equipment such as logic analyzers and oscilloscopes
- Strong understanding of electronics and engineering principles applied to real-world use
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong debug and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with high-speed digital circuit board design and signal integrity concepts
- Proficiency with design capture tools, preferably Mentor Graphics
- Familiarity with FPGAs
- Experience with requirements capture, analysis, and tracking
- Personal interest in computing trends or hobby projects with Raspberry Pi/Arduino
