About the role

Responsibilities

  • Engineer, design, develop, and test new embedded hardware at the forefront of technology
  • Support and enhance existing embedded hardware products
  • Analyze requirements, research solutions, and develop comprehensive designs
  • Generate accurate user and design documentation
  • Provide input to architecture and design reviews
  • Contribute to the release of manufacturing technical data packages
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and stay current with embedded hardware trends

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Computer, or Mechatronics Engineering
  • 8+ years of board-level development experience (CO-OP experience is applicable)
  • Hands-on lab experience with hardware test equipment such as logic analyzers and oscilloscopes
  • Strong understanding of electronics and engineering principles applied to real-world use
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong debug and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with high-speed digital circuit board design and signal integrity concepts
  • Proficiency with design capture tools, preferably Mentor Graphics
  • Familiarity with FPGAs
  • Experience with requirements capture, analysis, and tracking
  • Personal interest in computing trends or hobby projects with Raspberry Pi/Arduino
