About the role
Responsibilities
- Collaboratively develop a business intelligence (BI) solution using Hadoop (Hive)
- Coordinate with and support the solutions architect
- Develop and implement ETL processes to populate the Hadoop cluster and BI server
- Develop data transformations and extractions in Hadoop/Hive for reporting and analytical requirements
- Implement administrative access and security controls
- Gather user requirements and develop early iteration enhancements
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Familiarity with NoSQL and distributed architecture (Hadoop)
- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle or MySQL
- Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD)
- Experience designing and scripting functional and unit tests
- Strong oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Cloudera distribution software
- Experience with Tableau BI and data visualization
- Experience with Agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban
