Senior Guidance Navigation & Control (GNC) Engineer

Responsibilities

• Define Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) mission requirements and ensure traceability and verification from system to component level
• Lead design reviews, analyses, simulations, and system testing to meet customer requirements
• Develop and refine complex, nonlinear, 6 degrees of freedom simulation models using multidisciplinary data
• Design guidance and flight control laws using modern linear control design techniques
• Use software languages such as C, C++, FORTRAN, or Python to develop and integrate vehicle models and controllers
• Perform model validation against test data to improve simulation accuracy
• Support flight simulations, hardware-in-the-loop development, and flight test planning and execution
• Coordinate autonomous air vehicle contingency management strategies across multidisciplinary teams

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field
• 9+ years of related professional work experience
• 5+ years of specific experience in Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) engineering
• Proficiency with Matlab/Simulink or MatrixX/Systembuild for modeling and simulating aerospace systems
• Experience with Vehicle Management Systems (VMS) or PID control design
• Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements (U.S. Person status required)

Preferred Qualifications

• Minor in Computer Science
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (requires U.S. Citizenship)
