Senior Group Underwriter

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality underwriting decisions to sustain a profitable and well-balanced risk portfolio
• Uphold customer commitments by meeting Life Insurance Code of Practice and risk framework obligations
• Achieve underwriting volume and quality outcomes to support business growth and portfolio integrity
• Build trusted relationships with fund partners through clear, timely, and effective communication
• Resolve adviser, fund, and partner enquiries or escalations to positive and compliant outcomes
• Proactively identify issues to strengthen the customer experience and contribute to consistent team practices

Requirements

• Established underwriting authority with the ability to make sound, balanced risk decisions
• Proven experience in group risk underwriting or a strong foundation in a similar environment
• Deep knowledge of professional standards and industry codes applied with integrity
• High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency in decision-making
• Strong relationship-building skills for effective collaboration with partners and stakeholders
• A positive, solutions-focused mindset and a collaborative approach to teamwork
