Senior Group Leader Lyophilisation

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and administrative leadership for three shift teams, including daily and weekly scheduling
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, GMP requirements, and audit readiness of production areas
• Train, mentor, and develop employees, including the planning and documentation of training activities
• Coordinate and monitor manufacturing processes in collaboration with production chemists and fine planning
• Ensure timely availability of equipment, solvents, and raw materials for manufacturing campaigns
• Coordinate cleaning, maintenance, and repair work for equipment and production facilities
• Create, maintain, and optimize SOPs and work instructions
• Participate in continuous improvement of production plants, processes, and organizational workflows
• Handle deviations and support root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions

Requirements

• Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or equivalent technical training (e.g., Industriemeister)
• Multi-year industrial experience in a GMP-regulated production environment
• Proven leadership experience, preferably within a production setting
• Experience working in cleanroom environments
• Strong knowledge of cGMP and process documentation
• Fluency in German (written and spoken); English skills are an advantage
• Willingness to participate in on-call service (Pikettdienst)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with process control systems (PCS 7) and SAP S/4HANA
• Experience with paperless documentation
• Knowledge of operating, qualifying, or validating large-scale equipment, specifically lyophilizers
