Senior Government Relations Specialist

Responsibilities

• State and local bill tracking and analysis for issues affecting Compass Datacenters and the data center industry
• Monitoring regulatory agencies, rulemaking, and public comment periods
• Assisting with state legislative sessions and advocacy efforts at state and local levels
• Coordinating legislative visits, meetings, and site tours for officials
• Keeping stakeholders informed on legislative and regulatory developments
• Assisting with policy briefs, talking points, and one-pagers
• Maintaining a legislative contact database
• Attending and managing trade association meetings and working groups

Requirements

• 3+ years in government relations, government affairs, or public policy
• Skilled in bill tracking, regulatory proceedings, and legislative processes

Preferred Qualifications

• State capital experience with at least one or two legislative sessions
• Familiarity with relevant regulatory bodies such as utility commissions or environmental agencies
• Ability to distill complex policy into clear, concise briefs for business leaders
