Senior Google Cloud Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

• Act as a GCP platform owner within the Cloud CoE, defining enterprise consumption models and designing landing zones.
• Establish golden patterns and reference architectures for networking, IAM, and shared services.
• Manage the GCP Organization, including Folders, Projects, and Billing hierarchies.
• Enforce org-wide policies using GCP Organization Policy Service and security guardrails.
• Architect and govern enterprise-scale IAM models, focusing on least-privilege and workload identity patterns.
• Lead Infrastructure as Code (IaC) adoption using Terraform to build reusable modules and automate provisioning.
• Translate security requirements into codified, automated controls and integrate Security Command Center (SCC).
• Provide consultative guidance and documentation to educate engineering teams on safe GCP usage.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of cloud or infrastructure experience with a strong hands-on focus on GCP.
• Proven experience managing GCP Organization, Projects, IAM, and Policies at an enterprise scale.
• Strong expertise in Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Solid understanding of cloud security, IAM governance, and policy-driven controls.
• Experience working within a Cloud Center of Excellence (CoE) or Platform Engineering team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Google Cloud certifications such as Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Cloud Security Engineer.
• Experience in multi-cloud governance (AWS or Azure) within a centralized CoE model.
• Familiarity with FinOps concepts, including budgets, quotas, and cost controls.
• Experience designing developer self-service platforms or portals.
