Senior GMP Technician, Downstream

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute downstream manufacturing operations including chromatography, filtration, and viral vector formulation
• Prepare, operate, and troubleshoot advanced downstream equipment such as TFF systems and centrifuges
• Monitor critical process parameters and proactively address deviations or abnormalities
• Perform in-process testing and quality control checks including pH and conductivity
• Document all manufacturing activities in compliance with cGMP regulations
• Collaborate with QA and QC teams to resolve non-conformances and quality incidents
• Drive process improvements by evaluating new technologies and methods
• Mentor and train junior team members on process execution and cGMP guidelines

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, or related life science field
• Prior experience in a GxP or regulated environment
• Experience in downstream processing or biologics manufacturing
• Hands-on expertise with chromatography, filtration, and TFF systems
• Proficiency in in-process testing and quality control checks
• Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a cleanroom environment with PPE

• Basic understanding of viral vector-based gene therapy processes and quality requirements
