Senior Global Clinical Operations Director

Responsibilities

• Own the operational strategy and end-to-end delivery of global clinical programs across early and late development stages.
• Drive feasibility, site selection, risk management, and the adoption of innovative delivery models to accelerate evidence generation.
• Provide expert operational input into key clinical documents including protocols, study synopses, and regulatory briefing materials.
• Lead clinical components of regulatory submissions and ensure inspection readiness across the program portfolio.
• Partner with Global Clinical leadership and Biometrics to establish high-performing Clinical Program Team structures.
• Serve as the primary operational decision-maker and escalation point for CROs, AROs, and alliance partners.
• Manage clinical plans, budgets, headcount, and timelines while ensuring compliance with corporate governance.
• Mentor and coach clinical operations colleagues to cultivate a culture of continuous learning and excellence.

Requirements

• BSc/MSc in a related discipline or equivalent work experience (Advanced degree preferred).
• Extensive global drug development leadership experience.
• Proven expertise in clinical operations with a strong track record of delivery.
• Significant experience in program management, including resourcing and financial management of complex projects.
• Mandatory experience in Oncology; Haematology experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience in both early and late-phase clinical delivery.
• Strong strategic influencing and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally.

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD, MD, or PharmD degree.
• Experience with regulatory submissions and interacting with health authorities.
• Proven success working in Japan and China to ensure global program delivery.
• Experience leading teams through organizational change and driving process improvements.
• Previous line management experience.
