Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical design packages and mentor junior engineers on complex infrastructure and tunnelling projects
• Undertake geotechnical assessments and interpret ground investigation data
• Prepare geotechnical design reports in accordance with Eurocode 7
• Carry out soil-structure interaction analysis and geotechnical calculations
• Support or lead deep excavation, retaining wall, and foundation design activities
• Contribute to tunnelling assessments including SCL, TBM, shaft, and portal works
• Review and approve technical deliverables, calculations, and specifications
• Comply with CDM 2015 regulations and promote a positive safety culture
• Work in accordance with BIM Level 2 / ISO 19650 standards

Requirements

• Degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Geology Engineering
• 6–10 years of experience within infrastructure, tunnelling, or ground engineering sectors
• Proficiency in 2D/3D geotechnical design software
• Experience with gINT or OpenGround for ground investigation data management
• Strong understanding of Eurocode 7, BS standards, and UK ground conditions
• Chartered status (ICE or Geological Society) or actively working towards it
