Senior GenAI Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate core GenAI platform components including LLM routing gateways, vector search, RAG infrastructure, and MCP gateways.
• Develop AI observability and evaluation tooling to track LLM calls, detect drift, and manage costs.
• Build infrastructure for multi-step, long-running agentic workflows and tool registries.
• Own production-quality delivery of platform features, from initial design through rollout, monitoring, and incident follow-up.
• Create internal SDKs, templates, and guardrails to enable product engineers to build AI features safely and efficiently.
• Contribute to resilient system design, focusing on APIs, rate limiting, retries, and idempotency.

Requirements

• Strong backend or systems engineering background with experience operating production services.
• Proven experience designing and delivering shared platform or infrastructure components used by multiple teams.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems fundamentals, including async workflows and consistency tradeoffs.
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs and an understanding of production failure modes like rate limits and latency variance.
• Proficiency in either Python or JVM-based languages (we operate with both Kotlin and Python).
• A security-first mindset regarding AI systems, including risks like prompt injection and data leakage.
• Strong production ownership skills, including monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
