Senior GenAI Engineer

About the Company

Hawk is the leading provider of AI-supported anti-money laundering and fraud detection technology. Banks and payment providers globally use Hawk’s combination of traditional rules and explainable AI to improve AML compliance and fraud prevention.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build agentic systems using LangGraph, including workflow design, tool integration, and multi-step reasoning.
• Own context engineering and build feedback loops, eval harnesses, and tracing infrastructure using tools like Langfuse.
• Manage complex backend engineering across the stack including Python, FastAPI, Postgres, Redis, and Kubernetes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with deep backend expertise in Python.
• Hands-on experience designing and building agentic systems (multi-step workflows, tool use, context management).
• Strong backend fundamentals in FastAPI, Postgres, Redis, and Kubernetes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Production experience with Langfuse or equivalent LLM observability and eval tooling.
• Prior experience in Anti-Financial Crime (AML, fraud, compliance, or investigations tooling).
• Proven track record of shipping agentic products to real users in production environments.
