Senior Game Writer

Responsibilities

• Write and edit high-quality Czech dialogue, flavor text, and cinematic scripts, ensuring consistent tone and voice.
• Act as the lead writer and editor for all narrative content in the Czech language.
• Create initial English drafts of narrative text to be refined by native speakers.
• Collaborate closely with game designers, voice directors, cinematic teams, and localization specialists.
• Oversee assigned narrative elements from initial concept through to final implementation.
• Utilize proprietary tools and editors built on the internal Bohemia Interactive engine.
• Contribute to the overall narrative design, structure, rhythm, and player experience.

Requirements

• Proven experience in game writing with participation in released titles.
• Thorough knowledge of narrative design, branching storylines, and variable story flow.
• Professional experience as a Czech writer and editor, ideally within the gaming industry.
• Excellent written English skills with the ability to create engaging initial drafts.
• High-level critical thinking regarding narrative structure and player experience.
• Ability to work within established creative processes and respect existing project visions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with node-based dialogue editors.
• Familiarity with Bohemia Interactive products and modding tools.
• Knowledge of the Arma franchise and its community.
• Experience with narrative branching and architecture in open-world environments.
• Proficiency with visual collaboration tools such as Miro, Mural, or FigJam.
