Senior Game Editor

Responsibilities

• Lead the team of internal and external editors and the rules manager
• Own the presentation and technical implementation of card wording in Japanese
• Ensure all cards and mechanics adhere to team philosophies and player understanding
• Collaborate with creative teams to ensure card names and flavor text align with gameplay goals
• Lead the proofreading process for content, text errors, layout, and typography
• Plan and optimize future work for efficient resource management and schedule adherence
• Engage with Game Designers to improve potential new game mechanics

Requirements

• 1+ year of professional experience at a Senior Level in editing or game writing
• Or 3+ years of experience with project lead experience
• Strong content editing and proofreading skills
• High attention to detail
• Proven communication skills in Japanese and English
• Ability to lead and manage multiple tasks and teams simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Smartsheet, Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite (Acrobat, InDesign), or Confluence
• Experience playing or interacting with Trading Card Games or other game types
