Senior Fullstack Java Developer

About the Company

Hawk is the leading provider of AI-supported anti-money laundering and fraud detection technology. Banks and payment providers globally use Hawk’s combination of traditional rules and explainable AI to improve AML compliance and fraud prevention.

Responsibilities

• Drive the architecture and end-to-end delivery of product features
• Support and mentor junior and mid-level developers through code reviews and technical coaching
• Build scalable frontend and backend components using Java and React
• Partner with Product, Solutions Consulting, and Sales teams to align business priorities
• Champion agile, CI/CD workflows and take responsibility for production operations
• Create reusable libraries and scalable modules to improve development speed
• Own testing strategies including unit, integration, and performance testing

Requirements

• 6+ years of software development experience
• Strong track record in both Java (backend) and React (frontend) development
• Solid experience with PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch
• Familiarity with distributed systems or big data stacks such as Kafka, Spark, or Hadoop
• Deep understanding of REST APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud-based applications
• Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines
• BSc or MSc in Computer Science or a related technical field preferred
