Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

About the Company

Corgi is vertically integrating the entire insurance industry. We design, underwrite, price, and issue insurance directly: no brokers, no third-party administrators. We're rebuilding the insurance industry from the ground up using AI.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain critical internal and customer-facing software systems
• Lead the development of backend services, APIs, and scalable infrastructure
• Own major projects from architecture through deployment and ongoing maintenance
• Work across the stack to rapidly ship products and features
• Partner closely with operations, finance, underwriting, and leadership teams to automate complex workflows
• Improve system reliability, performance, security, and scalability
• Make architectural decisions and establish engineering best practices
• Mentor engineers and help raise the technical bar across the team

Requirements

• Exceptional software engineering fundamentals
• Ability to operate with limited structure and high levels of responsibility
• Strong product and business intuition
• High ownership and relentless execution
• Ability to balance speed with sound technical judgment

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering work experience
• Experience with TypeScript, Python, React, FastAPI, Django, Flask, and AWS
• Strong experience designing distributed systems and scalable applications
• Experience owning production systems and making architectural decisions
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, APIs, and databases
• Experience in fintech, insurance, or workflow automation
