Senior Full Stack Java Developer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy full-stack applications and microservices.
• Build responsive web applications and APIs using TypeScript and Node.js.
• Develop robust backend services using Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot.
• Integrate applications with cloud-native storage and services, including Amazon S3.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following engineering best practices.
• Participate in solution design, code reviews, and architectural discussions.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building scalable, cloud-native applications.
• Strong commercial experience with Java and/or Kotlin and Spring Boot.
• Extensive experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
• Proficiency in modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or DynamoDB).
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
• Proficiency with Git version control and secure coding practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within the UK financial sector or general financial services.
• Knowledge of strict compliance, risk, and security regulations.
