Senior Full Stack Engineer

Altruist is transforming the multi-trillion dollar wealth management industry by building an AI platform for wealth professionals. Hazel is a part of Altruist’s broader mission, building the AI engine for wealth management to unlock growth and efficiency for financial advisors.

Responsibilities

• Build easy-to-use and robust systems across the frontend and backend
• Design improved customer onboarding experiences and AI financial planning features
• Proactively identify, unblock, and mitigate technical risks
• Act as a leader and steward of engineering best practices, mentoring other engineers
• Stay ahead of developments in machine learning and AI to build industry-leading products
• Deeply understand industry needs and interact with users to learn about their frustrations

Requirements

• 4+ years of software engineering experience building consumer-facing web applications
• 1+ years of full stack engineering experience from UI to backend services
• Proficiency with React, TypeScript, GraphQL, Python, Microservices, and AWS
• B.A. / B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Strong communication and creative problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building external customer-facing AI products
