Senior Full Stack Engineer

Hawk is the leading provider of AI-supported anti-money laundering and fraud detection technology. Banks and payment providers globally use Hawk’s combination of traditional rules and explainable AI to improve AML compliance and fraud prevention.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate backend systems including LangGraph workflows, FastAPI services, Postgres, Redis, and Kubernetes deployments
• Build frontend surfaces using React, TypeScript, and shadcn/ui to surface agent reasoning and evidence
• Own features end-to-end from specification to production, including infrastructure and observability
• Build evaluation harnesses, tracing, and feedback loops using Langfuse to ensure agent reliability
• Partner with Product, UX, and Data Science teams to shape product direction
• Champion AI-native engineering workflows using tools like Claude Code or Cursor
• Establish engineering best practices for testing, deploying, and monitoring agentic products

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience (or 2-3 years for exceptional candidates)
• Substantial hands-on experience with Python and TypeScript/React
• Deep backend expertise in FastAPI, Postgres, Redis, and Kubernetes
• Strong frontend skills in React, TypeScript, and modern component libraries like shadcn/ui
• Fluency with agentic coding tools such as Claude Code or Cursor
• Excellent holistic problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Production experience with LangGraph or similar agent orchestration frameworks
• Experience with Langfuse or equivalent LLM observability/eval tooling
• Prior experience in Anti-Financial Crime (AML, fraud, compliance, or investigations tooling)
