Senior Full Stack Developer

Responsibilities

• Implement the technical vision and roadmap for Ares Secondaries in collaboration with engineering leaders
• Lead, mentor, and grow junior engineering talent within the team
• Independently lead small to medium-sized projects, managing up to five team members
• Own the end-to-end development and delivery of technical projects
• Participate in all aspects of solution ideation, architecture, design, development, and delivery
• Implement industry best practices for both engineering and product management
• Drive technological innovation by identifying and incorporating new solutions and influencing senior business partners

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• 8+ years of hands-on software development experience
• 3+ years of Private Markets experience in Asset Management
• Proficiency in Java, Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, and SQL
• Experience building scalable full-stack applications using Angular/React, Node, and Spring Boot
• Experience with both SQL and NoSQL technologies (e.g., Postgres, Mongo, Redis)
• Experience with modern DevOps tools including GitHub/GitLab, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform
• Strong understanding of streaming and messaging platforms like Kafka
• Experience using GenAI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Co-Pilot, Claude Code)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Fund-Of-Funds Secondaries
• Understanding of the Alternatives Investment Lifecycle and associated systems
• Knowledge of cloud computing concepts
• Experience with eFront and Dynamo
