Senior Frontend Engineer

About the Company

At Weave, our mission is to evolve how therapeutic knowledge is captured, transformed, and communicated throughout drug development. We are designing and building the AI workbench for the entire therapeutic lifecycle to help bring drugs to patients more rapidly and safely.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer needs into intuitive, elegant frontend experiences
• Partner with Product and Design to shape product development from ideation to delivery
• Architect and build a rich document editor with real-time, multiplayer collaboration features
• Write performant, well-tested TypeScript and React code
• Drive software design decisions and manage technical complexity
• Ship iteratively and refine products based on real-world usage

Requirements

• 5+ years of production experience with React and TypeScript
• Expertise in the modern frontend ecosystem (state management, bundlers, testing, design systems)
• Proficiency using AI-powered engineering tools like Cursor or Claude to accelerate workflows
• Experience working in early-stage, product-focused startups
• Strong product instincts and focus on user journeys and accessibility
• Ability to work in a hybrid capacity in San Francisco (Tues/Wed/Thurs in-office)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building rich text editors or real-time collaborative features (e.g., Slate, ProseMirror, Yjs, Liveblocks)
• Familiarity with regulated domains or high-security data environments
• Contributions to open-source projects
