Senior Frontend Engineer - Design Systems

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain foundational components, patterns, and design tokens (type, color, layout) with a focus on accessibility and performance.
• Partner closely with design teams to transition new patterns from concept to production.
• Lead projects that ship new UI patterns to solve pain points for product teams and accelerate development.
• Develop a design system optimized for both human users and AI integration.
• Improve the design system's prototyping experience to enable rapid iteration and exploration.
• Mentor others and establish best practices regarding craft and AI fluency.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional frontend development experience.
• Deep expertise in React and TypeScript.
• Proven experience building or maintaining design systems or shared component libraries.
• Strong command of modern frontend tooling, including build systems, CI/CD, and testing frameworks.
• Hands-on fluency at the intersection of AI and software development, with an understanding of how AI paradigms impact software construction.
• High agency and the ability to create clarity in ambiguous environments.
• Systems thinking mindset oriented toward high-leverage outcomes.
